With 1 in 9 people assigned female at birth experiencing Endometriosis, it is one of the most prevalent chronic conditions. Sadly, it takes on average 6-9 years to be diagnosed which results in poor and unjustified outcomes.
Surgery is seen as the “gold standard” for removing Endometriosis, however unfortunately this doesn't necessarily eliminate all the complex symptoms of Endo...this is why a whole person approach is needed.
When Covid hit, elective surgeries were cancelled and lockdowns made attending appointments and accessing care more challenging. It got us thinking... Endo warriors need more support to manage their symptoms, at their own pace, in their own time, where ever they are and no matter what is going on in the world.
